Sleeping in Seattle

Back in Seattle for most of this week. The last time I was here, it rained the whole time - which I kind of expected. This trip was absolutely gorgeous weather in the 50’s & low 60’s. I got a chance to see the manufacturing facility of Philips Ultrasound machines just outside of Seattle. It was fascinating. Unfortunately I cannot share pictures of that. We did have a delicious multi course dinner at Salt & Iron - which I highly recommend.
My colleagues and I did get to spend some time around the piers and Pike’s Place in Seattle. We watched the guys throwing fish in the market; and generally ate our way through. Yummy mini donuts; pepperoni meat sticks from the deli; incredible Mac n cheese from Beechers! We saw the original Starbucks store, the Ferris wheel, tromped along the piers and watched the sun set on Elliott Bay. We saw the ferry boats that are often shown in Grey’s Anatomy. Due to my shellfish allergy, I did not partake, however I enjoyed watching my colleagues praising the amazing fresh oysters and cooked clams at Elliott’s. We had lots of fun and laughs and chatting as we got to know each other.
Next week is Portland for my staff review (yikes!) which I have to perform along with my account manager in front of my mentor, lead, manager and other leaders. After that I fly to California for a quick day on Friday. The next 3 or 4 weeks involve heavy travel. This Gypsy has her traveling sneakers on!

As always, thanks for reading!
