My new place

Here's a random bonus from my move to Boise this week: when filling out online forms, it's much faster to find Idaho instead of South Carolina. I'm so used to spinning that list way down that I keep running past the "I"s. 😂😂

My new landlord is a petite German. I really like her. I rented this place only having had an online tour and conversations with my landlord. Despite my confidence in my gut feelings, there was still a tiny sliver of the "what ifs". I'm happy to report that I love the place. My landlord even hugged me when I arrived. We both feel as it was meant to be. Here are a couple pics of interior.

And, whoa, people weren't kidding when they said Boise was friendly. Among the many examples: I was waiting to check out with a cashier at Walmart. My cart was piled precariously with an air mattress, bedding, microwave, toaster oven, 1 cup/plate/bowl and random groceries. You know, the essential stuff. 😂 The older woman in front of me stepped back, touched my arm and we had a lovely conversation about how nice it was to have at least one live cashier available, and how you need that when have a lot of stuff because that volume is difficult with self checkout. 😀 One of my neighbors gave me the rundown on local grocery stores. And the car rental girl gave the name of a good restaurant downtown.

I'm typing this on my phone tonight, sitting on my air mattress as mixed rain and snow taps at the window. It's Wednesday and my furniture won't be out of the Pod until Sunday. Hopefully I'll have internet tomorrow. That will be good.

I finally have the news on what my new territory is: all of Idaho, all of Montana and the eastern 1/3 of Washington state. I'll definitely be wracking up the airline and hotel miles. I was also told there is a possibility for more training in February in San Diego!
